Today's episode features the start Part II of our summer series "Summer of Jonah 2019."  The Summer of Jonah 2019 is broken into two parts.  Part I, will featured 8 Sermons that Pastor Mike preached in 2014 on the book of Jonah--listen to these first.  Part II, will feature a plethora of of support and bonus episodes on the book of Jonah that Pastor Mike made for No Compromise Radio.  If you are either unfamiliar or familiar with Jonah, there is a lot to learn from this OT book. Does your church do readings of the Holy Scriptures? How much? Mike briefly discusses the topic of public readings of Scripture before he delves into reading for us the entire book of Jonah. Follow along as he reads all 4 chapters of this book and then discusses some learnings from it: nineveh
The City of Nineveh
  1. The "hero" of every part of the Bible is God (not Jonah, Daniel, etc.).
  2. Jonah should be read literally as the supernatural elements of it are not mythological - they really occurred. If you have an allegorical Jonah - you have an allegorical Christ. You need a literal Jonah here and a literal Christ as Savior and Lord.
