Pastor Mike continues the topic started last week on how to stay spiritually immature. (Hint - if you're a believer, you shouldn't want to!)

Review from last week (Another hint - do the opposite of these things!):

1) Drink milk and don't eat solid food*

2) Think the church should revolve around you and your desires

We should be about the business of the church and serving, but it's hard to do so when we are spiritual pygmies/dwarves/babies.

In Colossians 1:28, Paul communicates his desire that all should be presented to be mature in Christ. The goal is maturity, not church "growth" (per the modern view of that at the expense of real maturity).

Continuing the list today (of what not to do):

3) Don't show up to corporate worship unless the senior pastor is preaching**

4) Let your kids .. or your wife .. or your wife and kids pick the church

5) Try to stay as close as you can to the world (hey - we have to evangelize them don't we?)***

* see 1 Corinthians 3:2 - the Apostle Paul could only give the Corinthians milk since that's all they could handle

** see 1 Corinthians 3:5-9

*** see James 4:4, 1 John 2:15-17
